The primary objective of the Research.com ranking is “to raise awareness and appreciation within the academic community for the substantial research accomplishments of the leading researchers and scientists in microbiology”. The 2024 edition, published on the Research.com website, highlights Prof. Gobbetti’s significant contributions to the discipline.
The third edition of the ranking was created using consolidated data from various sources, including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The bibliometric data used to devise the citation-based metrics were gathered on November 21, 2023.
