Organised by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and its Competence Centre for Sustainability, in collaboration with the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS), the excursion combines a hike from Cardaun-Cardano towards Bolzano with talks by unibz researchers and a visit to the renewable energy and hydrogen laboratories at NOI Techpark.

This year’s programme explores irrigation water management in a changing climate, agrivoltaics, hydrogen applications in agriculture and the Water-Energy Nexus, linking current research with practical examples and technologies for a more sustainable use of resources.

The excursion starts at Bozen-Bolzano Bus Station at 9:00 and concludes at 13:00, after the laboratory visit. Bus and train tickets are at the participants’ own expense.

Everyone is welcome to join the hike. Registration is required to participate: Action for Climate 2026.
