16 December: The SUNRISE Alliance explained
Von Arturo Zilli
On 16 December, unibz will present its participation in the SUNRISE European University Alliance at an open meeting for the entire university community.
The session is designed to be a dialogue between academic and administrative staff and students, who will be able to learn more about the alliance and its future offerings. SUNRISE is a European consortium of universities, of which unibz is an active member, and the presentation will focus on the opportunities that this membership creates for teaching, research and university life.
The event will begin with opening remarks from President Prof. Ulrike Tappeiner, Rector Prof. Alex Weissensteiner, and Managing Director Günther Mathà. They will present SUNRISE as a strategic initiative for the university and its future development.
This will be followed by the core part of the programme: a presentation on the SUNRISE European University Alliance by Prof. Johann Gamper (SUNRISE Coordinator at unibz) and Laura Cherchi (Project Manager). They will outline the opportunities already available, as well as those that will be developed through the university’s participation in the alliance. They will also explain how members of the university community can get involved in SUNRISE activities.
The final part of the event, starting at 11:45, will be a Q&A session. Participants will have the chance to ask questions, share suggestions, and gain a better understanding of how SUNRISE can support their work, studies, and international collaborations.
The presentation is open to the entire university community, and no registration is required.
