Software Engineering and Autonomous Systems (SEAS) | Research Macro Area
Di Matteo Vegetti
How must software architectures and development processes be designed to ensure that systems operate efficiently, securely, and robustly? These questions are addressed within the Macro Area Software Engineering and Autonomous Systems (SEAS).
The methods and concepts developed in this context are relevant for classical enterprise software, cloud-based infrastructures, as well as embedded systems and robotic applications, for example in agriculture. Particular emphasis is placed on autonomous systems that independently perceive their environment, analyse situations, and respond appropriately without human intervention.
The video presents how this research area combines rigorous software engineering methodologies with application-oriented research in autonomous systems. This integrated approach establishes the foundation for secure, adaptive, and high-performance digital infrastructures across various industries.
