A new step in international cooperation. The five-year agreement foresees the development of joint initiatives ranging from student and faculty exchanges to co-taught courses, with the long-term perspective of establishing joint and double degree programs. Special attention will also be devoted to summer schools and advanced training opportunities, giving students international experiences that will be fully recognized in their study careers.

“With this Memorandum we further strengthen our international vocation,” said unibz Rector Prof. Alex Weissensteiner. “We are creating tangible opportunities for our students and faculty to engage with other excellent academic environments, while at the same time enriching our ties with the local territory through shared research and innovation.”

The academic community also welcomes this new step. “The agreement with Biberach allows us to develop joint pathways in areas that are crucial for today’s challenges, from sustainable energy to natural resource management,” emphasized Prof. Francesco Patuzzi, who promoted the agreement on behalf of unibz. “For our students, this means building global competences while also enhancing local expertise.”

The initiative was also warmly received by the German partner. “We are delighted to strengthen our cooperation with unibz,” stated HBC Rector Prof. Matthias Bahr. “We share the conviction that the education of the future must be international, interdisciplinary and rooted in the needs of our communities. This Memorandum allows us to turn this vision into reality.”

With the signature of the Memorandum, the two universities reaffirm their commitment to building academic and cultural bridges, placing exchange, growth and innovation at the center of their mission.
