International EU-Projekt

unibz part of the Jean Monnet Network PROSPER

The EU project was launched today and it involves 12 universities across 12 different EU Member States.

The PROSPER network (Project to Research Opportunities to Strengthen Prosperity and Economic Resilience in the EU) seeks to address contemporary challenges faced by the EU, focusing particularly on economic resilience. Its core aim is to enhance knowledge exchange, foster best practices, and conduct interdisciplinary research on key issues like globalisation, climate change, and the economic inequalities between Member States. PROSPER will contribute to strengthening the EU's overall prosperity by promoting strategic initiatives to bolster economic stability and growth.

This ambitious project is the only one funded under the EU’s Jean Monnet internal network call for 2024. Alongside the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (with Prof. Stefania Baroncelli as project leader on the part of unibz), the network includes prestigious institutions such as Dublin City University (Ireland), Central European University (Hungary), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), among others. PROSPER is coordinated by the Dublin City University Brexit Institute & Dublin European Law Institute under the lead of Professor Federico Fabbrini.
